Beginning in April 1, 2019, the OAAP will offer an eight-week workshop focusing on using mindfulness practices to transform our relationship with stress. All of the practices are practical, user-friendly, and can be easily adapted into day to day living. No meditation or mindfulness experience is required. MBA Mental Health and Substance Abuse CLE

In conjunction with the Multnomah Bar Association, OAAP Assistant Director Shari Gregory will be presenting a 1 credit CLE on lawyer-wellbeing on May 15 from 12-1pm. A landmark 2016 ABA/Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation national study found that attorneys are nearly twice as likely as the general population to experience problematic alcohol use, and younger attorneys (under 30) are approximately three times as likely. Reported levels of depression, anxiety, and stress were also significantly elevated among attorneys according to the study.…
