I love my work at the OAAP as it satisfies my personal mission of helping people and building community daily. The work I do is the perfect blend of my skills, passions, and experiences. I have been part of our OAAP team since 1999.
I like to say that I am both a helper and an advocate, making my role of attorney counselor the perfect fit for me. I graduated from Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler School of Social Work (MSW 1987) and Rutgers School of Law (JD 1992). Since 2006, I have taken on a leadership role and play an integral part in creating programs and managing the OAAP. In 2003, I received a Certificate of Business Management from Portland State University.
When I came to the OAAP, I was an experienced indigent criminal defense lawyer and social worker who focused on career and life transition counseling; relationship counseling; mental health and trauma counseling; crisis intervention; stress management; organizational challenges; and alcohol/drug and addiction counseling. I have honed these skills working with our legal community. I continue to learn and develop my expertise as a mental health professional in order to better serve Oregon lawyers, judges, and law students.
