Jackson County Bar/OAAP/PLF Free MHSU CLE and Reception

The Jackson County Bar Association, Oregon Attorney Assistance Program, and the OSB Professional Liability Fund are sponsoring the CLE, “Canary In The Coal Mine: Recognizing and Mitigating the Effects of Burnout” on Thursday, October 6, 2022. Presented by Bryan Welch, JD, CADC I, Attorney Counselor, Oregon Attorney Assistance Program

The lawyers who attend this program will:

  • Learn about recent research on lawyer well-being.
  • Increase their awareness of the signs and symptoms of “burnout.”
  • Learn to identify systemic and organizational factors that contribute to burnout.
  • Consider factors that prevent lawyers, judges and law students from seeking assistance when needed.
  • Learn techniques to increase well-being in the face of burnout.
A social hour and reception with fellow county bar members and the PLF Board of Directors will immediately follow the presentation. The in-person CLE and reception will be held at the Jackson County Circuit Court, Jury Assembly Room, 100 S Oakdale Ave, #101, Medford, OR 97501. The CLE will run from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., and the reception will follow from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Lawyers, judges, and staff are all welcome to attend. Please join us for refreshments! You are welcome to attend both the seminar and the reception or either one.
